PAUL J. MENZEL, CLFP

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Menzel joined Financial Pacific in 2008. He began his career in leasing in 1975 with Puritan Leasing Company where he became Vice-President and General Manager. He continued in this role after Puritan was acquired by Cal Fed Credit in 1986. When Cal Fed Credit was acquired by Pacific Capital Bank NA (fka Santa Barbara Bank & Trust) in 1996, Mr. Menzel’s role was expanded and he became Senior Vice-President of Community Lending for Pacific Capital. In this role he oversaw the Leasing, Small Business and Indirect Auto Lending units of the Bank, managing over $750 million in assets. In 2007 when Pacific Capital sold its leasing business to LEAF Financial Corporation, he became President of LEAF Third Party Funding. Mr. Menzel, a Certified Lease & Finance Professional, is a past Board Member of the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association and chaired their Code of Fair Business Practices and Small-ticket Business Council committees. He also served on the Industry Future Council. In 2005 he was named “Leasing Person of the Year” by Leasing News. He earned his BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley in 1974 and an MBA in Management from Golden Gate University.

 

TEREY N. JENNINGS, CLFP

President

Mr. Jennings, a Certified Lease & Finance Professional, is responsible for all sales and marketing activities of the Company. He joined Financial Pacific in 1986 and has held various positions within the sales and marketing area. Mr. Jennings is active in a number of equipment leasing associations and is a past President of the United Association of Equipment Leasing. He serves on the Pierce County Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Washington. He earned a degree in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University.

 

JODI L. WILSHIRE

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Wilshire is responsible for all accounting and finance activities of the company including financial reporting, maintaining effective controls, strategic planning and budgeting/forecasting. She joined Financial Pacific in 1998, working on special projects on a part-time basis while still continuing her education at the University of Washington. Aligning her career to her educational accounting and finance concentration, she accepted a full-time position in the accounting team as a Staff Accountant, later being promoted to Accounting Manager and then Controller. Ms. Wilshire's attention to detail, dedication and leadership in her various roles lead to her involvement in all major Company transactions including due diligence work on three ownership changes, S-1 drafting/filing with comment responses to the SEC, treasury functions with bank agreement management and reporting and internal and external financial and audit management. Ms. Wilshire's expertise and experience lead to her promotion to Senior Vice President in 2015.

 

ALLEN SNELLING

Executive Vice President, Umpqua Bank Vendor Finance

Mr. Snelling joined Financial Pacific in 2015 as Vice President Vendor Finance. Snelling is responsible for developing and managing leasing and finance programs which will be made available to commercial equipment manufacturers and distributors, providing financing solutions to help their customers acquire new equipment. Snelling has an extensive background in commercial lending and has been in the Vendor Finance industry for 17 years. He began his career in leasing with GE Capital in 1998 and held senior leadership roles at American Express Business Finance, Key Equipment Finance and most recently was an officer for Marlin Leasing where he led National Accounts. Mr. Snelling earned a BS in Political Science from Oregon State University in 1996.

 

LAURA L. CARINI, CLFP

Senior Vice President, Operations

Ms. Carini is responsible for the direction of all operations including funding, data entry integrity, documentation compliance and customer satisfaction. Her career with Financial Pacific began in 1995. Prior to her current role she held various other positions including Direct Marketing, Funding Manager and most recently as Vice President of Business Development which oversaw the management of all Third Party Originators. Ms. Carini is well known in the leasing industry as dedicated to service and leadership with an emphasis on company culture. She sits on the board of the National Equipment Finance Association and holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University.

 

STEPHEN E. LEEGE

Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer

Mr. Leege is responsible for all aspects of credit risk management including credit policy, underwriting and scorecard management, and chairs the risk management committee. He also has credit management responsibilities for Umpqua Bank Equipment Leasing and Finance. He joined Financial Pacific in January 2015 after seven years as Director of Credit at CIT Equipment Finance where he supported new business development and managed teams specializing in vendor credit and small ticket underwriting. In the 20 years prior he held credit management roles with Rx Financial Corp, Newcourt Financial (now CIT) and Sanwa Business Credit Corp (now Banc of America Leasing) in addition to performing contract work for several speciality lenders including Oracle Credit. Mr. Leege earned a BS in Business with a concentration in Finance from Valparaiso University.

 

JOHN M. WRIGHT, CLFP

Senior Vice President, Portfolio Services

Mr. Wright, a Certified Lease & Finance Professional, is responsible for portfolio collections, asset management and residual recovery. He joined Financial Pacific in 2000 as a Manager in the Portfolio Services Department. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2002 and assumed responsibilities for multiple divisions within Portfolio Services. Prior to Financial Pacific Mr. Wright held various management positions over a 23 year career in Consumer Collections with Rainier Bank, Security Pacific Bank and Key Bank. In his last position before joining Financial Pacific Mr. Wright was Vice President and Regional Manager for Key Bank USA’s Western Region Collection Center.

 

Thomas J. McSweeney Jr.

Senior Vice President, Information Technologies

Mr. McSweeney brings 35 years of IT and 22 years of management experience to Financial Pacific.  He holds two patents on Medical Credentialing Software that he developed in 2000.  He has led technical support, programming, development, systems analytics, network engineering, and project management teams for start-ups, midlevel, and Fortune 300 companies.  As a change agent, Mr. McSweeney has directed DevOps initiatives and has lectured on breaking down virtual walls and the corporate silos that inhibit innovation.  He currently sits on the board of directors for both the Society for Information Management (SIM) and Customer Service and Support Professionals (CSSP).  Originally from Philadelphia, Mr. McSweeney transplanted to the Great Northwest in 2008.
